Grace At Home

Wonderful Morning Sickness

Well, it has hit me full swing :)

I have never been this nauseaus with a pregnancy.  I am just about sick all day and night long.  I find sleep is what I look forward to the most because it relieves the nausea.  I have tried most of the common remedies for this from ginger candy to herbal teas.  I have found that sea-bands are wonderful little things some of time and seem to take the edge off.  Also saltine crackers and sprite and two very good friends of mine.

I call this wonderful because it is.  It is a miracle that the Lord has lead me through a tubal reversal and on to carry a healthy child.  He is worthy to be praised.  He pours blessings continually out upon me which I don't deserve.  The sickness I feel is a constant reminder of the little miracle growing inside me.  It is also a comfort that things are developing well.

I have my first appointment with a midwife at 12 weeks.   She sounds wonderful and I believe she is an answer to prayer.  I look forward to meeting her.

I ordered one of the home dopplers.  They say it is possible to hear the heartbeat between 8-12 weeks.  How wonderful it will be to hear that little thumpity thump!!

Congratulations! I hadn't checked your blog in some time, but am so happy at hearing this wonderful news! I hope all is well and you are feeling better. Please let us know what happened with your blessed little foster son.

I'm glad that your are making the choice to become healthier. I have several whole grain breakfast recipes I'd be glad to share. Just let me know! We only use cold cereal on Sunday mornings, now, and I should just make granola to have a quick and clean breakfast readily available.

Talk to you soon!
