Redefining My Motherhood... Homemaking...Keeping of My Home

After being challenged by Tam's posts and through a study with some sisters in Christ... I am on the verge of redefining my mothering.  I want my home to be different than it is.  I think the LORD does, too.  Not an easy thing.  He will come along side me though.

Working together on cleaning?  totally new thought.  sounds fun and frustrating at the same time (like someone else said, "How do I get past the 'Move and just let me do it' mode?")

Spending more 'fun' time with my blessings.

Remembering to enjoy them.

Putting my idol of 'me time' on the altar.

Dear Father,

Draw me to You.  That's the only way this will happen.

Amen.

Welcome to the blog world!! I love and learn so much from TaminAZ too. She just truly amazed me sooo much. I am drawn to the quiverful life to but am just a little selfish with my time at this point. I know God is working in me. My husband does want more (we have 4 ages 10,9,6 and 15m) but I don't know if he is willing to give up all control in that department. I think if I did, we would have like 20 kiddo's or something.

I am reading a book called The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace and it is just what I need. It sounds like you might benefit from it too. I will be posting what the Lord reveals to me through the book on my blog.

Have a great day... I gotta go,
Love in Christ, Jennifer

Mindy, just coming back to read some more~ I have read the Excellent Wife too. I also finished reading Created to be his helpmeet by the Pearls. I know some have issues with it but for me it has helped me so much knowing what the Father wants me to do/be for my dh. I was raised so that woman control and I am seeing just how this is not God's will. Well, I am rambling~ I know right now with you having littles it is hard but when you get older like me (LOL 44) and your littles are not little anymore and they gather around and make you feel like a queen it will all be worth it~ even more than that when they all walk in TRUTH you will be so thankful. I will hush now.
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!
Teena

You didn't sound preachy at all. Truly. Thank you for caring enough to come by. I'm sorry I just saw it. I'm still learning how to check if someone has posted a comment! Ü
I would like to read both of those books. I think He can help me glean what I need from each of them.

We had a blessed Thanksgiving! Thank you, hope you did too!!
