Some great recipes are on other blogs, I've found a few good ones online, but I've questioned the honesty of me posting a recipe because I don't make them up myself. I tweak them, adding in lime where I can this week, for example, as Joseph chose that as our new fruit to try. Last night, we did something all our own, and I can share with no worries of copyright infringement. Homemade pizza! It's another great childhood tradition carried on, though not even as elaborate as my Mama made it. I looked through 4 recipe books for pizza crust recipes, and fell back to our old standby mix in a bag, add water and oil, let it rise. The fun part comes after that. Joseph got his hands into the dough and made it fit the pans. Emily's turn was next, she was careful with the sauce. Then Heather started adding meat. This is where your preference comes in. Kind of like homeschooling. Use the resources you have. Buy something special to add if you want to (that would be the canadian bacon for me), and by all means, if it doesn't work for your family, leave it out(onions, that is.) We even made two different ones. Not everyone in this family has the same needs, um tastes. We ended up with canadian bacon, pineapple and cheese on one, and an extra meat variety especially for Daddy: hamburger, canadian bacon, and cheese. My favorite meals to prepare are fun ones like this.
