Preppin' Up! HS Blog Hop for Teens: Subjects I am Studying This Semester

Miss Monica June over at From the Learning Room has created and is hosting a blog hop for homeschooled teens called Preppin' Up.  To find out who can partake in this blog hop and what is involved go on over and take a look at this post. Today we are suppose to blog about what school subjects we are studying this semester. This semester will be my first year of high school. I went to public school for my 1st and 2nd grade years. I remember when we first started homeschooling asking mom "Momma, will I always be homeschooled? Even for highschool and everything?" she answered me "Well.... We will just have to see." It's really neat to look back on that conversation we had and my situation now. I never liked public school and enjoy being at home much, MUCH more! So this semester I will be studying the following subjects: Pre-Algebra Writing & Grammar Geography Physical Science History This year we are using all Bob Jones for me. I started my Pre-Algebra and Writing & Grammar earlier in the summer and I am really enjoying them thus far! I have learned so much from both of them! I think it really helps that I can apply what I learn in Writing & Grammar to my blogging. I think that it kind of cements it. Math has never been my strongest subject, but this year has been very beneficial for me. I am off my seizure meds that make me tired and make it difficult to focus and concentrate, so that really helps too. I haven't started geography, science, and history yet, but I am very much looking forward to them! I also do some school assignments on my blog. Some other things that I enjoy doing and learning from are: photography web design graphic design HTML and CSS coding reading crocheting I have been learning a lot about photography like terms and what they mean. Certain things like white balance, how and when to use the flash (I have figured out that I really don't like using the flash), storing and organizing photos, and editing them properly. I have been doing coding stuff for a good 2 1/2 - 3 years now and have been doing web and graphic design for a good year. It's not my favorite thing to stare at a screen for hours on end doing it all, but I do enjoy it. :) I really love reading and crocheting, too!
