A bit of a break, but the learning never stops!

Well, a lot has gone on in the past week. I found out Friday that I need reading glasses. No big deal. One little catch tho....screens and reading are a no-no for more than about 15 minutes without a break. So this week I am taking a break from school to prepare and organize for the 2009-2010 school year among other things. See, I did a little bit of school through out the summer to lighten my load a bit. I have a limited amount of time to blog, connect with you (my readers), and comment, but I have been able to spend more time with my family and my Savior. So as I'm waiting on my glasses, I will be setting my priorities strait, balancing my life with my online life, organizing, and painting. Sounds fun, right? :D Yep. I'm enjoying the mini break so far! Just a little reminder: the High Key Camera Review is now fixed! The discount code problem is, anyway. :) So if you plan on using that code, I am extending the expiration date to the 17th because of the problems that went on for a couple days. A Fresh Look

The other day mom and I found some awesome sage green paint at Lowe's on the clearance table. It just so happened that it was the EXACT green my sister and I had been wanting to paint our room. LOVE it! You can't beat it for 5 bucks, either. I really like the colors in quilts on our beds with the green. It is a very calm and peaceful sort of color. These pictures aren't my best- they are HORRID, actually. :P You get the general idea tho, don't you? ;) The above picture would also be where the blogging is done - mostly. After painting our room and finding it pretty easy, I am thinking about grabbing some more paint and working on 1 or 2 of our bathrooms with my sisters. We are pretty sure we are going to paint our (the girls') bathroom a raspberry pink. Think the raspberry in my blog design. There is not much wall space in there, so I think going with a color like that would be fine. It's on the small side of a medium sized bathroom.

Everything Happening

I have been trying to get going on a new design for this blog. Also trying at some point soon to organize it better. Those two things alone take a lot of work on the back end of the blog. I’m guessing that I won’t have as much time for the front end of my blog. I will try my best to get some guest bloggers on here for y’all. I will try my best and post on here some myself, too. Are there any topics you would like me or a guest blogger to blog on? I’ve got some in mind, but just wondered… What do y’all think of a Q&A or some interviews? Suggestions are welcome! :-) As I said, there is a lot of work on the back end. That along with the business my life has become on a regular basis there is not a whole lot of room for blogging. I’m trying my best to balance everything out though. There is a lot of new stuff going on in my life too. So I’m trying come up with a new schedule that will work for me and get used to it. Would anyone be interested in guest blogging? I have some topics that you could pick from. If you are interested please email me ASAP and I will get you the list of topics. :-) That’s about it. The Feelin' Feminine Callenge Days 2, 3, & 4

This week has been a busy week here- lots going on. That's why I haven't posted days 2, 3, or 4 of the challenge. I don't have pictures for days 2 and 3 because we were so busy. It’s like pulling teeth just to get someone to take a picture of me too. Thursday- I had a funeral to go to and I wore a brown skirt and a sage green shirt with small brown dots on it with brown flip-flops. My hair was down in a headband and curled. I really like my hair curled every now and then. I have naturally wavy hair, but it’s too much trouble to curl it all the time. Here’s what it looked like: Friday- We cleaned the garage. I wasn’t a pretty site to see either. So you probably won’t be seeing a picture of me on that day! :P The only people that saw me in that state outside of my family were two of our friends who came to drop some things off. That day I wore a purple polo (borrowed from mama) and a denim skirt with black flip-flops and my hair was in a messy bun. The skirt, however, isn’t very pretty looking anymore. I’ve had it for about two years now and it’s an official ‘work skirt’. So no picture for that day. Today (Saturday)- I am wearing a black shirt (borrowed from my sister. Also has beading around the neck.) and I’m not sure how to describe the design on the skirt, exactly, and I have my hair in a ponytail. Here’s what it looks like: Wanna know where it was taken? Yep. On a tool box. And it was all I could do to keep from falling off. LOL (it even has a little bokeh going on in the background.) This week I have had so much fun mixing and matching different clothes, trying out new hairstyles and I am sad the week is almost over! I also have had fun seeing everyone’s pictures. Also, if anyone has any favorite hairstyles (or it can be just one) would you mind sending me a how-to and an (optional) picture? Hair care tips are welcome too. I am currently writing an entry on hair. I will be including hairstyles with pictures and tutorials, hair care tips, and the like. So if you’d like anything in there please email it to me.
