A Bit Of Sunshine....

That is Elias. Who, by the way, is almost 2. :O Still can't believe that. They ad so much sunshine and joy to our days and I wanted to share a picture of him with you all.
This was from the other night when we got ice cream to celebrate (finally) getting a buyer on our house. This was the first time the boys have had their very own ice cream cone, so they were pretty excited! :D I have lots more pictures of them with it all over the table, themselves, and the floor that I will post soon. (On Facebook, too if you're friends with me over there. If not, you can find me at this link: http://facebook.com/hbraboy)

Pure Learning

Well, this past week has really thrown us for a loop. Just about all of us had the flu and colds. It was terrible. Luckily the Dudes didn't get any of it. The my sisters are almost over it. However, I am not. I still have a horrid cough. So that’s why I haven’t updated in so long, done the KJV graphics, or the graphic linking to them. But I am working on it. So hang with me.
Through all this mess I have learned how to rest in the arms of Jesus. How to just let go of my life and see what comes of everything. Not to get so stressed out and worried about everything. Just to enjoy life. It seems the two keys to that are: 1) pray throughout the day about EVERYTHING and 2) smile. It helps enormously.
I have serious problems with looking at the bad part of the day and getting depressed over it. It bugs me that I do that. It bugs me that I can't be more optimistic about my day. And that they can't run smoother. Then I ran across this over at the Econobusters web site. It's exactly what I needed. I can be relaxed, life can happen, and a time schedule doesn't get in the way. So if you haven't already, you may want to check it out.
As a result Mondays feel like Fridays. Sounds great huh? It is. There are still bumps in the road but they are more smooth. I believe part of the thing to figure out is your "groove". You've gotta find what works for you and your family.
Part of that "groove" for us was Mama taking a nap with the Dudes. And that was really hard for her to do. She felt like she had so much to do there was no time for a nap. But really, she was getting so tired that she couldn't focus on the task at hand without getting stressed out. It also helps if we cut out as many activities out of the house as possible.
That's was helps us. What helps you?

About Me
My name is Hannah, but I am also known as Missy Lou. I am a 13yo homeschool high school student. I love the Lord with all my heart and hope you will see Him in me. I am the oldest of 5 kids and love my family very much!
However, I am not a perfect person. Jesus Christ is my role model and I strive to please Him only. I truly hope you are blessed by your visit here. It is my prayer that this blog glorifies the Lord in every way.
I enjoy sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking, and looking after my 2yo brothers. They have made such a difference in my life! They are constantly teaching me many things! My sisters and Mama are my best friends. Although I didn't always think mamas and sisters were to be best friends.
