The Blessing Of Siblings
Siblings are a wonderful gift from God. God gave them to us for a reason and a purpose. They can be friends, a comfort, someone to laugh with, a shoulder to cry on, someone who will pray for you, someone you can count on, someone who loves you (even when it may seem like no one else does), and someone to cheer you on, to name a few. If I named them all it would fill pages. They can also help us better improve certain characters such as patience, self-control, and selflessness.
“No one can receive anything unless it has been given to him from Heaven.”
John 3:27 CJB
Notice I said they could be all those things. They can if you want them too. They can if you both work hard enough at your friendship. That’s what makes sibling friendships so valuable- both people working hard and diligently at something worthwhile and admirable.
That’s not to say that once you both get to the point of friendship it will be effortless from there. If you both have that mindset, when you get to the point of friendship, it will only go down hill from there. It’s something that needs to be guarded carefully, watched over, and taken care of constantly. It requires selflessness it requires selflessness,
Selflessness is impossible for any and every human to obtain. It’s impossible. What we must also realize is that, try as we may, we cannot have a close friendship with our sibling(s) unless our relationship(s) with them are Christ-centered. We must know what the Lord wants for our friendship with them and what His definition of friendship is. We must know His heart. He wants us to have a close relationship with our sibling(s), but we must first know His heart and His definition of friends or friendship.
It’s a lot of work, but so rewarding and fruitful. And by your example others will be able to see the rewards of having a close friendship with your sibling(s). It’s a beautiful thing.

From Bad to Beautiful: Handwriting
I think we all can admit that some imperfections in our handwriting. After all, we are human. We are and always will be imperfect. However, we have a God that is perfect. He is wonderful, awesome, loving, meraculous, and perfect. His handwriting is and always will be perfect. But the thing is, this world has us buying into one of many lies. You know that that lie is? That lie is 'Your handwriting is good enough. Why would you want anything perfect when you have control over what is written and it's good enough?'
But you know what? That control is worthless when you can barely even read it. The wording is clumsy, the handwriting is awful, and you can't hardly read it. But then again, you have control. So this world has you thinking that as long as you have control you'll be alright.
Truth is, your hands are tired and sore and you hate the look of it. Yes you have control. But you're so tired. You're tired of trying to make things make things perfect, paying attention to every single details, and making things look good to everyone else.
That's the story of, unfortunately, a whole lot of people today. They think they have everything, at first. It looks good. It even sounded good, at first. But it's not good. And you are at the point of desperation.
That's what we as God's people are here to change. To replace the diluted, watered down lies, customs, traditions, and culture of this world. To replace them with something much more concentrated. Something much better than we could have EVER dreamed of.
A handwriting so beautiful it's stunning.

Free of Bondage
I've been in bondage more times than I care to think. There are a lot of things that can hold us back from the life the Lord has for us. Lies, situations, and circumstances, to name a few. We dig ourselves into a pit over something and throw a pity-party for ourselves. Then we get stuck in that pit and bonded to the lie.
"Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free."
John 8:32
I remember getting bound by something onetime. Very clearly, actually. I can't remember the lie that bound me exactly, but I remember what I did about it. First I identified the lie that bound me. Then I found what the Bible and the Lord had to say about that particular thing, whatever it was. After that I remember walking around my room repeating what the Lord and the Bible had to say about the lie and John 8:32. And I did that until I was free of bondage.
Now, it may have taken 30 minutes or more of my time, but I was desperate. I was even getting depressed over it. I tell you, I was desperate!
"For the grave cannot praise You, death cannot sing Your praise; those who go down in the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness."
Isaiah 38:18
We were made to praise and glorify the Lord. We cannot fulfill our purpose until we let go of the lies and know the truth. It's then, I have found I am happiest and at my best. It's the plain and simple truth.
"in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory."
Ephesians 1:12

Love That Surpasses Knowledge
About Me
My name is Hannah, but I am also known as Missy Lou. I am a 13yo homeschool high school student. I love the Lord with all my heart and hope you will see Him in me. I am the oldest of 5 kids and love my family very much!
However, I am not a perfect person. Jesus Christ is my role model and I strive to please Him only. I truly hope you are blessed by your visit here. It is my prayer that this blog glorifies the Lord in every way.
I enjoy sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking, and looking after my 2yo brothers. They have made such a difference in my life! They are constantly teaching me many things! My sisters and Mama are my best friends. Although I didn't always think mamas and sisters were to be best friends.
