Seems there are some who were not aware of the details of the CHEC (Christian Home Educators of Colorado) Conference coming up this next week!
Thursday is an all-day worldview seminar with Dr. David Noebel of Summit Ministries. Dr. Noebel is a sincere, humble and funny presenter. I pray you will find his seminars enlightening! (I have had such joy working with Dr. Noebel on articles for the CHEC Update quarterly magazine these past few issues.) Eric Smith is a nice fellow my husband and I met a couple years back as he served in the Summit Ministries booth at the Family Day Conference held at New Life Church in the fall of 2004 (or was it 2005?) Eric's dedication and enthusiasm is contagious! Make sure to check out his seminars!
Thursday will also feature an all-day beginning seminar along with a high school tract meant to encourage you and equip you with practical knowledge and skills to homeschool with confidence!
Friday and Saturday feature great speakers like Ken Ham, Kevin Swanson, Bill Jack, Jeff Myers, David and Laurie Callihan, Andrew Pudewa, Kym Wright, and others. (Both Kevin and Bill spoke to our group this year at Parents Meetings -- if you missed them then, now's your chance to hear them!)
Additionally, CHEC features one of the largest vendor halls in the country with over 200 vendors. Don't forget to check out the youth entreprenuers area and the public policy areas as well. One
The cost of this 3-day seminar is $69 for you and your spouse. Hard to beat that for the inspiration that will surely come your way via all these A-list speakers!
A vendor hall pass can be purchased at the door only for $35. But then you'll miss out on all those great speakers! Still I know there are seasons in our lives that necessitate vendor hall only times.
