On Sunday, March 19th HomeschoolBlogger is going to be upgrading some of our blogging software. You won't be able to login or post on your blog while the actual upgrade is happening. Your profile and your old entries should be just fine, BUT there may be an affect on your uploaded images. If you don't already have those images stored elsewhere on your computer, you can easily save them by right clicking on each image and then using the Save As or Save Image As feature to save them to your computer. This process will not affect your templates, unless you are using images on your template that have been stored in your blog space.
Images that you placed on your blog using a URL from another photo hosting site should be just fine.
Just take some time to check what photos you have uploaded to your HSB blog. You can log in and then click on thet File Upload button to see the images you have saved there. Those are the ones that you want to make sure to save elsewhere.
I always just use Photobucket.com to save my pictures that I want to use on my blog. They resize them so that makes it a little easier for me anyway. HSB is going to place restrictions on how many photos you can upload and store here so that the system will perform even better, so you'll want to get acquainted with one of those photo hosting sites anyway.
When it's all said and done, HSB is going to be better than ever. Just take some time to save those photos!!!

I'm really upset, all my blog entries are gone!!! Why just mine, I've looked a tons of 'em and no one else lost theirs! This is totally heartbreaking to me as I have put so many hours into it. Had I known you'd have lost the entires (you said they'd be fine) I'd have saved them all. Please tell me what can be done. Also, I can't even log into my blog!! What's going on?!? All my friends blogs are just fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP I'm really really upset here, you have no idea.

I lost my deedeeuk blog and the UK HSN blog! Again, the warning only said about uploaded images of which I only had one and wasn't too bothered about having to replace. Incidently, on the deedeeuk blog the uploaded avitar is the only thing that is still there and I didn't even back it up!!! And all my entries which were supposed to be fine are gone! Help!!!!!!! We have also lost alot of valuable input on the UK nation blog and that affects more than just me! Also the email about this only came through to my computer and many others on Sunday saying to back up BEFORE Sunday - a bit tricky to do when you're told so late. We were away for the weekend and only received the email late Sunday night. A little more warning next time PLEASE!!! Hope this can be sorted. Just wanted to let msacademy know she's not the only one!
