This week’s Featured Blogger certainly has the title of her blog right. As soon as you visit Jennie von Egger at Creative Homeschooling, you can tell that she is one creative homeschool mom!
You might have seen Jennie featured on the Front Porch with our Homeschool Tip of the Day, but she is also the creator and co-author of Times Tales. You can click here to read the story of how 3 homeschool moms in 3 states with 13 children combined got Times Tales started.
According to some experts (such as a group of retired business executives we met with recently), we broke all the rules of starting a business and have been successful in spite of it. We didn't invest much more than $100, didn't have any systems in place (when we started up that is), and basically had no idea what we were doing. However, we are eager learners and have all gained an education in marketing, accounting and even some business law as a result of this experience.
Jennie (like the other Times Tales gals) gets to have fun juggling homeschooling and
running a business. Fortunately that creative thinking helps her keep up with it all. She even came up with a creative solution for when one of her children was throwing temper tantrums!
Visit Jennie’s blog and you’ll get lots of
creative homeschooling ideas, encouragement and a good dose of her satire. Be sure to check out How My Kids Are Missing Out to remind yourself of all the things your children are learning daily!
