How to Make Your Science Glo!

Our ocean unit study took a unique turn this past week.  As our family prepares for an upcoming vacation to the beach, my daughter and I started talking about what we’d need to pack for a trip to the ocean.  Of course, a “critter house” was on her list.  Sunscreen was on my list. 

Thus, began a discussion about the importance of our skin and how to take care of it.  We also talked about the role skin plays protecting our bodies from germs.

This was the perfect time to get out the recently purchased GloGerm™!   We spent two days reading books and having fun with this small tube of neon goop.  Everyone in our family was amazed at what we learned about germs and our hand washing habits.
