Pattycake
Our featured blogger this week comes to us from Central NY. She is a wife and homeschooling mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Deb has five children, with four still at home. Her family ranges from ages 29 (married and out of the house) down to 7! With the grandchildren in the mix, they have ages 5, 3 and 6 mo. added in. Her oldest daughter, who is also a homeschool mom even has a blog here too!
If you've ever heard of Ruth Beechick and wondered who she is, just visit Pattycake's blog. In this entry, she shares her excitement for the upcoming school year and the freedom she feels in picking the right materials for her kids.
“All of this will be Beechickized (keeping her methods at the heart of how I implement it). All I listed above are materials. What goes on in our home, how we learn is a whole 'nuther thing.”
Want to know what she thinks about workbooks? Or why she calls debate and discussion one of the best parts of homeschool?
Take some time to visit Pattycake's blog. I know that reading it has challenged me to research some things and to go digging in God's word. And I love that.
