With fall approaching rather quickly, why wait until winter to go sledding? If you live on or near a hill and have leaves or pine straw, give "leaf sledding" a try. That's what we call it at our house. It's usually a Thanksgiving Day tradition for us.
All you do is attach a dog leash or rope to the front of the sled, and let them go, pulling each other down the hill. The leaves are nice and slippery. It might not sound exciting,, but you would be surprised at how much fun it is! One of my children actually likes it better than snow sledding because she hates the cold and wet.
Have them rake up a huge pile of leaves at the bottom of the hill and let the "puller" run the sled through the middle. We always have lot of laughs, fun, and silliness when we go "leaf sledding".

That looks like such fun! Thanks for the great tip...
Now if only it would get below 100 degrees...and if I could find a hill around here somewhere...this part of TX is very flat... I'm sure my boys would suggest the roof! (but I'm not that desperate...yet...) hehehee...
God bless you,
Marsha
