Since 9-11, those who enjoy needlework have not been able to do so on their flights since the airlines don't allow scissors anymore. My sister-in-law passed on an idea someone gave her to solve that problem. Carry a box of dental floss in your purse. Then you can use the little metal floss cutter to cut your thread.
