Need a story idea for your child? 

Go through magazines or catalogs and cut out pictures.  Tape or paste the picture to the upper corner of the child's writing page, then have them write a story about it. 

Some examples of pictures I have used:  A woman on ice skates with a dog pulling her by her scarf; Two children on the beach; two girls playing dress up; an amusement park, etc. 

My girls always enjoyed making up stories to go with the bright pictures.
