So here's a school bribing teachers to visit homeschooled kids with one task in mind - to get them to quit homeschool and come back to public school. The nutty part is this:

That just irritates me! A lot. Kids who have dropped out. . .or are homeschooled!! Absolutely insane. And scary to boot. It's all about the $$$$$$$ that they lose when there are less kids forced into their prison cells.

Actually, this one makes me happy. Last night I read the one about the homosexual parade and that one just put me on the floor. This one however highlights the stress and cracks in their flimsy foundation! It shows how weak the public system is and how they're grasping at straws.

In a round-about way it's a huge compliment the enemy has given to homeschooling. They need to get homeschoolers back in their numbers in order to curb their ever-growing dropout numbers. They know homeschoolers are not dropouts from learning and achieving and we'd be a huge boost and asset to them! Of course they can't say it that way - their hearts are hard and regardless of how they may truly feel and what they truly know - they have to make it sound as if homeschoolers have done *them* the injustice by not sticking with a sinking ship!

Yep... this one, to me, is uplifting!

I think the district of the article was in OH? I don't think they'll be knocking on my door as I'm elsewhere but I have at least 5 public school teachers as immediate neighbors -- they know us well enough that they'd never attempt such a brazen thing. I do consider 3 of the 5 to be friends and we've discussed homeschooling enough that a: they understand for us it's a belief, a lifestyle and for life, and more importantly b: public school was never an option to us. I'm fortunate that they respect that. And, I feel the children in their care at those public schools are fortunate to have those particular people. I do still pray, though, that they "wake up" as they are Christians and I don't feel Christians should be part of that system... not as adults and especially not as children.

Oops, I think I went into ramble mode. :-)
