I'd like to share another favorite Christmas tradition our family has. A few
nights a week, we like to turn out all of the lights except for the Christmas
tree lights. We gather around and sing Christmas hymns and old Christmas carols
and favorites. Over the years, some of the lighter songs have had motions and
variations added. They can get quite funny, with off key notes and missed
words. We usually get out the church hymnal to get all the verses right to our
favorite hymns, but we are slowly learning them. Even the little ones pick them
up quickly and have fun. It's another tradition they beg for, and it's so
wonderful to have a slower pace, snuggle up at home, and enjoy your
family.
