Welcome to Jamin's Internet Academy! I am a homeschooling Mom who is fasinated with finding low cost - no cost ways to supplement our homeschooling through the internet. There is a treasure trove of free goodies online. So join me here on the Front Porch every Wednesday as I share a little of what I have found with you!
Many years ago I picked up this cute little book that was designed to help kids memorize the 10 Commandments. My oldest (and only at the time) child was 5. It was the coolest book. For each Commandment there was a picture made out of that number that helped you remember what the Commandment was. My favorite was #5. An old man was being pushed around in a wheelchair that looked like a 5....Honor your Father and your Mother! LOL Well, this system worked amazing! I went through it twice and both my son and I could remember ALL the Commandments. I used it for several years in Awana and taught countless kids the 10 Commandments. Then I loaned it to someone...Never to see my book again. Recently I started thinking about this book because my daughter is now 5 and I want her to learn them. I thought I could easily find the book again online....No luck! (It might help if I knew the Author or Title of the book! LOL) Anyway, I started searching online for another system to teach my younger kids and guess what? I found something very similar Free online!
This one is the most similar to what we used: Pictures & worksheets to help kids learn the 10 Commandments

Although Bug is a bit too old for these things, we just went over Exodus 20:1-17 this morning as part of her Bible Study! I'm still going to take a look at the resources for my niece's lil guys! Thanks!
