Here in the Featured Blogger section of the Company Porch we have been reading about the wit and wisdom of homeschool parents. It’s time to take a look at the other end, the inspirational writing of a homeschool graduate!  Ashley shares her thoughts about life and living for Christ. 

There are some really unusual usernames here on HSB, and I always wonder why the blogger chose that name.  Ashley explains her username in The Story Behind Pink Flamingo.

Many of us struggle with moments of not knowing what to say, or when to say it.  Have we given much thought about having too much to say and too often?  Let’s Talk reminds us that idle words will lead us into foolishness.

It is amazing what we can learn about God and ourselves from His creation.  While God didn’t create the dryer, we can still learn something about the principal it was created for. How can we live our lives Without Wrinkle?

Ashley spent a couple of weeks being a camp counselor this last summer.  As a counselor you always think you will be the one doing the teaching.  Interestingly enough, if you are a good counselor, you’ll find there is something to be learned from the campers. 

Ashley is learning everyday how to serve the Lord.  It’s serious business to take heed to the calling of Christ, be it for our souls or for the work He has for us.  Still, I don’t know where some people get the idea that Christians don’t know how to have fun.  Ashley certainly does as she explores Bugs in the Floor, and  survives The Cheesehead Adventure!
