I don't know about you, but many times I have written a blog entry that I would like to link back to later. I can't always do a search to look for that entry and then grab the URL for it.
If I have written the entry in a word document, I now copy the URL of the entry and paste it in the document, usually under the title. This saves me time searching or having to ask the owner of the blog where my article was posted, to please send me the link. You may have two or three URL's listed on the document depending on what other blogs have refrenced your article.
Next time I want to link back to the article I just open up that document and grab the URL from there.
