Chickadee of A Familiar Path

A Familiar Path is a blog that is a breath of fresh air.  No matter the topic, whatever the weather, you can always find something peaceful and beautiful to read.  The blog template may play a small part in that, but I felt that way about this blog before chickadee switched to the calming green.  I think the real reason is that Melissa is a writer who can express her thoughts so that you feel like you just had tea with a good friend.

HomeschoolBlogger has opened up a whole new world to most of us.  We sleep, eat, breath and speak blog.  Ever wonder what your blog sounds like to someone else?  Here’s what Melissa thinks it sounds like.

Homeschoolers tend to stand out.  Most of us have experienced that stranger in public who asks, “Do you homeschool?  I can tell.”  It takes someone really special to stand out among homeschoolers!

On our children’s birthdays we tend to spend time reflecting on their birth and we remember all the things we love about them.  Melissa wasn’t sure she wanted A Boy, but a boy she got and, of course, she has no regrets!

It’s amazing all we can learn from our children.  The lessons I love the most are the ones that bring me closer to God.  Melissa shares one of those lessons, in Flat Down.
