TOS is putting together a page on our site that will feature "homeschool
speakers." We have some key relationships in place with various support
group leaders and convention planners, and we think we can offer them a
great resource, a pool of speakers from which to choose, with this section
on our site. The best part is that it's totally FREE, both to the speakers
and the planners. The plan is to create the section sometime in March of 07,
which gives us lots of time to get the speakers up there with their bios,
talk summaries and photos. We're going to make it very classy looking, very
pretty on the site. Easy to navigate and search as well.
TOS won't set up the engagements - we're acting as "Avenue" rather than
"Agent" (which is good - it keeps it free for everyone). The benefit of
being featured on our site as a homeschool speaker is that there are some
neat perks that come with it - like we promote you. Anyway, there's more but
we're still in development at this point.

Once you get there, hover your mouse over the About Us tab. The menu will
drop down and you can click on Homeschool Speakers Bureau. It's just a form
right now so that we can start processing and selecting who'll be in there.
It gives you the opportunity to list all your talks, provide biographical
information and state your mission. We plan to promote all our speakers in
the magazine as well. Lots of fun stuff coming. AND - there is no
exclusivity in terms of being a part of other bureaus; we're totally cool
with that. You can be a part of ours plus anyone else's. We don't try and
make you stick to one like some might. So feel free to fill out the form if
you are a speaker and wish to be considered. Can't hurt to be listed,
doesn't cost anything and just gets your name out there further.
