Did you realize that GOD is walking among you and your family even now? Did you realize that just like your own close-knit family in your own home, YOU really are His family? And, just as your children want to be with you and do what you are doing, or just “hang out” together, so GOD, while walking among you, desires that His family be with Him and follow Him and just “hang out” with Him – not because they are compelled by guilt to have a quiet time or to pray, but just because they want to be together because they are family. Do you want to spend time with God today? If you honestly don’t have the desire, pray for that desire to return and in the meantime, return to the Lord like you did when you were first His child – remember the sincerity and fervor you had? Pray, pray, pray, for those things to return to your heart and that your heart would turn fully again to Him. He says He WILL walk among you, and be your God, and you shall be His people. ~dlw
