I love scarves. They are so warm and cozy. If you are not a knitter or crocheter, yet you still want to make scarves, I have an easy fun scarf to make. You don't even need a pattern. You can make these for adult too but they are really fun for kids because fleece comes in so many fun colors and patterns.
Materials:
Fleece - two colors or patterns that match or go together well.
Sewing machine
matching thread
Scissors
Measuring tape
What to do:
1. Cut your fleece into two long rectangles, to the size you want your scarf to be. This one is 56" long by 9" wide.
2. Lay one piece on top of the other piece.
3. Sew the two pieces together right down the middle, length wise.
4. Lay it out on the floor and measure 1 1/2 inch wide strips along the edge.
5. Cut those strips up to 1 inch from the seam.
6. Do this on both sides of the seam.
When it is finished it will twist and turn and be fluffy and fun. I am sure the child on your gift list will love this.
Craft corner will take the next two weeks off for Christmas and New Years Day. Merry Christmas to you all. See you in 2007!
