Merry Christmas!
My Tip of the day today is very simple. Enjoy your family. Your children are only young once. Take the time to notice the simple moments. Make sure you give and receive lots of hugs. Please don't forget the reason for this blessed day.
Matthew 1:23
The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Imanuel which means God with us.
Luke 2:11-14
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you ; He is the Christ, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
When I looked up Host in the dictionary this is one of the definitions
2 : a very large number
My grandpa has passed this year and in honor or his memory I wanted to share with you the story of his Christmas tree. One year I made a box of angels with salt flour dough, painted and polished them. Grandpa put up his tree that year and only had lights and all these angels. As the years went I would make more of these for the tree. He told me he wanted his tree this way because of all the heavenly hosts that came to visit Jesus. He invisioned all these glorious lights shining and honoring baby Jesus. I didn't realize then but I now have a wonderful way for us to honor our grandpa every Christmas season. My thought before I go is to wish all of you peace that are missing a loved one this holiday season.
Please, feel free to post your memories.
Merry Christmas
