For most businesses December is the busiest time of year. But for many smaller businesses, it’s the time of year for burnout and bills. Did you plan ahead for this season or were you too focused on the now -- all year? Something small business owners tend to do is to live in the here and now. I used to until I was featured in some magazines and they taught me about pre-planning.
I’m already working on plans for 10 months from now, are you? You see, looking at your small business as a “business” has to be learned. Whether you learn it from life experience (which I do not recommend) or learn in school or in your research, be open to what others say and the endless possibilities. Be ready to change your thoughts and plans on a dime if something comes up that’s a win-win situation and falls in line with your passion.
Keep plugging away the last few weeks of each year, but also take time to plan for your next 10 months or ideally for the next 12 months! If you don’t see future vision for your business, then how will you plan ahead for success?
