Tell your children and grandchildren how I dealt harshly with the Egyptians and how I performed my signs among them, and that you may know that I am the Lord.” (Exodus 10:2)
God told the Israelites to remember all that He had done for them and tell their children so they could tell their children. When we reflect on what God has done for us, we see His goodness and how He is working in our lives. Recognizing His goodness causes thankfulness to well up in our hearts. His Word tells us to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.
I encourage you to reflect on the ways that God has blessed your life. Write them down in a journal so you can go back to these entries when things are tough. Remembering what He has done in the past helps one to believe His promises when times are hard.
As you remember what He has done for you, tell your children about them. Teach your children to look for His blessings upon their lives so they can be reminded that God is good. Faith comes by hearing. As we tell each other about God’s blessings, our faith will be built up so we can believe in Him for more. Jesus told the blind men, “According to your faith, will it be done to you” (Matthew 9:29) and their sight was restored.
For at least three years, I have seen God provide for my family’s needs as I have believed in Him. These blessings have been recorded in my blog-site, http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/mustardseed. I hope you will be encouraged as you read the ways that God has blessed me. We overcome by the word of our testimony and the blood of the Lamb.
The veil has been rent and the Kingdom of God is at hand. We can enter His gates with thanksgiving and go directly to the throne of grace, into the Presence of God. We can enter into intimacy with our Creator as our hearts grow thankful for the blessings He has bestowed upon us.
