I think we need to take that one step further and consider what happens after homeschool!

Is your child prepared to meet Secular Liberalism and anti Christian sentiment head-on in the colleges and the workplace of the adult world? Did you realize they are only 17 or 18 when they will meet this challenge? Ground your children in their faith, teach them to think critically about the truths in the Bible and to articulate their faith and share it with others.

That's why I am so passionate about teaching the next generation of Christians to communicate effectively. They are going to be hit by so much more than we ever will. Homeschooling is a great way to insulate them in order for parents to teach and train them in the ways the Lord would have them go. However, it isn't enough that they know the Lord. They must internalize Biblical teachings, understand them and be able to articulate them to others. Not only for sharing God's Word but for defending their faith when it is attacked.

I invite everyone to come to the Say What You Mean Online Convention this Feb 1-3. The theme is Defending the Faith. Every seminar, workshop and audio article is free and will help you understand how to prepare your child for the secular world they will inherit.

Gena, during my years of homeschooling I found some of the most judgemental foes to be those in my own church who felt convicted about their "sacrifice" every time I stepped in the room! I for one can't even imagine putting money ahead of my child, but then DayCare was never an option for me, either! So many Christians are brainwashed by our culture. God help us!

My dd takes drivers ed. at the PS. Both she and I will be glad when the 9 weeks is over. The up side is that it has made both of us VERY thankful that we homeschool.

Asa and I were just talking about moving to TN! (Kayla and I lived in Adams for a few months while I was in YWAM-loved it!)...or Hawaii. Are you still recruiting? I grew up w/4 sisters and a brother... ;)
