In light of this quote, let's read the following scripture:
“Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever, who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners. The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; the LORD raises those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous. The LORD watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widows.” Psalms 146:6-9
What did you see in these verses? Did you see a God who is trustworthy? This is what I saw:
a God who creates and doesn’t lie;
a God Who judges righteously, and provides;
a God who liberates and heals;
a God Who lifts up and loves, and
a God Who protects and satisfies.
What an incredible God and worthy of all of our praise. Let’s once again get out our magnifying glasses and magnify HIM and not our circumstances or our feelings. Those temporal things will burn up under the magnifying glass of His majesty! He is certainly the only One whom we can trust the whole of our lives to, and One whom we wish no escape from.
Trust Him.
