Plant the Trivium

God is not mocked when we fail to plant a crop.
An un-worked field of a Trivium mind deprives our families of knowledge, understanding and application.
In contrast, Trivium planters will survive the winter, and not lack seeds, which in turn will guarantee the next year’s continued existence.
In our children’s youth, we prepare the seed-bed of the trivium for wisdom to take root.
As spring approaches, our minds turn to planting. Remember to prepare the most important seed-bed— our children.
In the book of proverbs, the idle sluggard lacks the desire to plow his fields. Yet, turns up at harvest time demanding a crop. We cannot make demands of our children if we did not prepare, care and water the seed-bed of the trivium.
No doubt farmers have encountered many hardships with crops. We did. One year, when we farmed, we harvested over 4,000 pounds of organic pumpkins. We brought them to market. We watched as the owner stocked his produce dept. with our pumpkins, and thought to our selves: the customers will never know about the rainy seasons, fluctuating temperatures, rocky soil, mud, scorching heat, shortage of water, not to mention the 50% that was lost due to the flooding zone the pumpkins sat in.
It’s true, we all have hardships, but we must always remember, He that called us is faithful to bring it to completion.
Press on.
Plant the Trivium.
Make your mark in the seed bed.
