My tip for the day: Drive thru!!
I know, the words “Drive-thru” can conjure up a bad feelings, the “tsk-tsk” of a shaking head of your pure organic friends…but, no worries, friends… I am talking about another drive thru --
My daughter (10) and I have been watching David Stotts for several years on a wonderful program airing on TBN called Drive Thru History.
It is amazing how much biblical, historical information she has retained, and how much I have learned, too! It is funny engaging and highly recommended!!
Don’t just take my word, here is what Focus on the Family says:
The Drive Thru History DVD series explores the history of western civilization in the countries of Rome, Greece, Turkey and the United States. Four DVDs are included in the series.
"We give history to you straight. And because we like to laugh as much as possible, we give it to you in a fun way," Stotts stated in an article he wrote for the June 2005 issue of Breakaway magazine.
Drive Through History is a series aimed toward teenagers, but even the younger set get something from the series, David Stott’s is entertaining and infectious. This series gives viewers a drive in the fast lane look at Christian history through observing ancient ruins in historic cities such as Greece, Rome and Istanbul.
Narrated by Dave Stotts, the series introduces and educates viewers on how Christianity has shaped the history of Western Civilization and how such monumental events still affect people’s lives today. Stotts’ humor and energetic personality guide viewers on a fast-paced trip through ancient history that is both meaningful and entertaining.
I home school only one at home, which takes a lot of creativity. Thankfully I am an idea person. I hope to share tips on ways I creatively find resources to keep school at home engaging and fun. I borrow ideas too, from my friends, other home educators, and my favorite resource, the internet. I will do my best to give credit where it is due.

Drive Thru History
I bought these for my oldest son for Christmas after seeing them on TBN. The whole family has enjoyed them. Last Friday night, we watched two segments on the Drive Thru Turkey and I especially enjoyed the way he explained how the Lord addressed each of the seven churches in Revelation, especially the church at Laodocea. I think I'm going to use the Drive Thru America homeschool package for a coop class next semester. This was a great tip to tell people about!

These are some of my very favorites. History does NOT have to be dull.

I used Drive Thru History in my co-op's world history class last year. It was a hit.
The History International channel has also been airing DTH.
