I googled What is. The result —2,010,000,000.
I googled Why is. The result —995,000,000
I googled How to. The result—1,520,000,000.
Those sites are really telling us: If you’ll just click that mouse, I’ll tell you all you want to know about the“ what”, “why” and “how” of [fill in the blank]. The need to know “what”, “why”, and “how” is central to every endeavor. How can we not want to know the Trivium. When you buy a house you must know “what” the mortgage payment is. It’s simply not reasonable to want to have a mind that just doesn’t care about the Trivium.
People want to know “what” is the sky? “Why” it’s blue, how it became blue —if they even believe it’s blue.
Masses of people want to know “what”, “why” and “how to”. And, websites want to tell us: “what” “how” and “why” of [fill in the blank].
If you are a Classical homeschooler, then you already know where to find information on “what”, “why” and “how”. You know “what” belongs to the grammar stage. You know “why” belongs to the logic stage. You know, “practice” belongs to the rhetoric stage. Wow. You know a lot.
I came to a realization about the Trivium, the year a New York City television station contracted Pete to create their news channel table. He had to design it from a drawing they gave him.
You can study…
create…
and build…
just about anything you want to, if, you apply the three levels of the Trivium. Even if you have never had prior experience.
Using the Trivium can, and will lead you, and your family into creative thinking.
A classical education helps you connect the dots—properly, and meaningfully. That brings great satisfaction to any parent teaching it to their children, to a husband who develops products.
That’s a classical education.
I value the “TRIVIUM” model God gave us in scripture. And, that’s why I write about the amazing “Trivium”.
