I appreciate all the Daddy/Husband/Brother in Christ bloggers we have here at HSB. Their take on parenting/marriage/life is always eye opening and usually pretty humorous. In short, they encourage us.
You tell your child to do something. They respond with, “I don’t want to!” What’s a parent to do? Why should we do anything at all? After all we often feel like we don’t want to do something. It’s one challenge of being a homeschool dad.
Earning money to provide for one’s family is something all good men do. Sometimes they have to get a little creative, like take part in a study. Jeff describes his short career of selling (Renting) his body to science.
I like a man who can admit to his mistakes. I don’t say that in a gloating sort of way, a real man takes responsibility for his actions. While putting his family into a healthcare crisis, Jeff uses this story to share how the Lord is merciful.
Having a family often has us putting aside our special interests for a time. Some whine about having to sacrifice something fun for what they perceive to be drudgery. The real thrill is when you can share your interests with your children. Jeff and his family enjoy karate.
