How many of you were able to log in today with no problems? How many of you couldn't log in at all? How many of you could log in at one point but then couldn't another? Me too.
The server change DID happen, but there are some problems that need to be worked out. When it comes to computers, why can't anything ever go smoothly?
Here is what is working, the Friends Latest Posts link, javascript, the interests links now actually lists a word for the interest instead of a number, while working - very quick page loads, and much more that I can't think of at the moment.
Here is what is not working, the silly quirk of not always being able to log in. The e-mail comment notifier URL is not hyperlinked and I think that's all that I'm aware of but I think tech support knows of some others.
That's what I know for now. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime do me a favor, please tell your friends about the Porch and that this is where they can come to find out what is going on!
To get to the 'friends' page you just have to append "friends" to a users' blog name. So for yours, it would be:
http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/deedeeuk/friends
If you don't have "show my friends list" enabled in your profile (http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/manager/edit_profile.php), then it won't work.
I am really enjoying the faster page loads. Our net connection is so slow already so having the pages come up faster really helps! *doing the happy dance*
I haven' t had any problems at all. I'm so glad to have my friends page working again!! Actually working better than it ever did, since I can view more than page one now. :-)
