Today is National Clean off Your Counter Day! (Ok, it isn’t really, but it sounds good.)
Seriously though, do declutter your kitchen counters. Clean, clear work areas free up space both practically and visually--and clutter-free surfaces make cleaning up easier, providing no place for spatters to hide!
Obviously there are certain items that due either to their unwieldy nature or frequent use should be on the counter for easy access. Evaluate carefully though, and make sure items on your counter are earning their keep.
