Don't panic you have one more week to create some wonderful kid friendly crafts for those special dads in your lives.
1. Clipboard art- This is one the kids and I are going to do this week. At walmart I purchased a wooden clipboard for 97 Cents. My idea is to have each of the children paint a little picture on it or write a note and then spray it with a clear coat varnish. You could also use their handprints. You can use the clear plastic clipboards but you will want to have model paint and paint on the back of the board as it may get to bumpy on the front.
2. Hanky- I realize that not many men don't use hankies anymore but its more a keepsake then a usable item. My children made this one for their dad when they were really little. We put all their handprints on them and their names. Turns out very cute. You could even frame it for him to hang in his office or garage.
3. Organizers- At the dollar general store. We bought plastic sewing organizers for you guessed it one dollar. Then went to the craft store and bought dads day stickers to go onto it. Our dad still has his and keeps small nuts and bolts inside.
4. Desk cover- Have the children decorate a pc. of cardboard. Laminate it with clear contact paper. Then dad has a desk cover for his desk.
5. Dont forget to make cards for dad. He loves to know how much you appreciate him. Here you will find some great poems and more crafts to make for dad!! Some of the poems are so sweet. I know the dads will love them!! You might also want to check out the recipe section. There is a very cute snack idea.
