Our Featured and random bloggers chosen this week will win their choice of Instructor's Guide from Noeo Homeschool Science. You may not have heard of Noeo Science because it is a fairly new product. I was lucky enough to receive one of his programs for review and it is very good!
Randy Pritchard, a veterinarian and homeschooling father has written the material at two different levels for children ages 5-12. Level I is for ages 5-8 (or Grade Level 1-3), Level II is for ages 9-12 (or Grade Level 4-6). There are 3 subjects covered at each level - Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Each subject is intended for a complete year of study, thereby immersing the child in the subject matter instead of jumping around from topic to topic. This product was created using ideas from Classical and Charlotte Mason methods of home education.
To read some reviews of this curriculum, check them out here. You can read more about each program as it pertains to children in your home by checking out the complete descriptions on the Noeo website. This curriculum is well-thought out and extremely teacher-friendly. There are supply kits available so that you do not have to hunt down the materials needed to complete experiments. The books used are "living books" ... no boring textbooks here! I was lucky enough to meet the Pritchards last year at the FPEA covention and they are so excited and dedicated to making Noeo Homeschool Science the BEST choice for your family. I had a couple of suggestions for making it a little more teacher-friendly and Randy Pritchard told me that he had taken note and had added in my ideas to his newer units!
There are even reproducible pages available to the families using the curriculum - these pages are good for note-taking, narrations, drawings, recording experiements and more. If you are looking for a science curriculum to use in the upcoming school year, check out Noeo Homeschool Science TODAY!
