From churches who want to encompass the "whole" child (without their family) to Preschool vouchers which will give parents a choice of the better preschools, everyone is jumping on the preschool bandwagon. There are even church run preschools that want government dollars to help them! Hillary Clinton wants to give preschools over to the government in the name of No Child Left Behind.
Evidently when preschoolers enter kindergarten they aren't, *gasp* on an equal education level! First because not all children go to preschool, and second preschools academics aren't regulated. For years we've been encouraging each other not to compare our wee ones with other children because they learn at different rates and now the government comes along and decides they have to all be at the same level by the age of 5 and the best way to do that is to put them in government run preschools.
Isn't anyone else scared by this? Isn't anyone else worried about churches that are clamoring for government dollars which come with government strings? Whose children are they? Yours or Hillary's village?

YES! I AM concerned! This juggernaut is very alarming. My husband said he read somewhere that ALL the Democratic presidential candidates have universal pre-school in their platforms. I don't know if they require it be mandatory, but if not, I'm sure that's down the road. If you want to send your preschooler to an institution, feel free. But don't ask me to pay for it or require me to do the same! (Sorry for all the exclamation points...I'll go have my coffee now Ü)

about this and many other things our modern churches are doing in the name of "Christ" that does not further the cause of His Kingdom.
