It's almost the end of another week. Where does the time go? I have had a few people tell me that they have noticed that "blogging" is down lately. Hmmmm.....is it? For me it is, life is just so busy that it's hard to get time on the computer! Life is full throttle here. That doesn't mean we are over committed, it just means that there is much to take care of and do when you are a Mommy. Whether or not you homeschool, life is still super busy!
There was an interesting post this week that I want to pass on to you. Just take a few minutes to read this one. Now, don't feel condemned by any means, just use what you can, apply what you want and toss the rest out. All of it won't apply to you, but some might. It was a good little check list, or at least I thought it was! It kind of spurred me on to sit down and read a story with the kids that I had been wanting to get to for awhile! We love reading aloud! Sometimes we get too busy and everyone reads their own books. It is such a treat to read for everyone, and see how well they pay attention and get into the stories.
Getting back into the swing of things here has been a bit tough. A lot has transpired and I still feel like I lost some time because of events here over the last few months, and now the holiday season is coming! This is one of the most fun times with my kids. They get very creative and we love to work on preparations together. Many families I know take this time "off" but for us, it has always been a great time for learning! Whatever you choose, I pray that this would be a blessed time for you and your family. Hopefully I will be able to share some of the neat things we have done over the years that coincide with holiday celebrations and our homeschooling needs.
Before I sign off, I just want to share something with you! I have this crazy habit of checking my sitemeter to see the referrals, you know, what were the people actually searching for when they stumbled upon my blog. Well, today, I had a fun one, and a long time ago I posted about some leaf-cutter bees that were nesting in our siding. Actually, I get TONS of hits from that one post. It's nuts, but really fun. Anyway, through that referral I came across this wonderful clip-art site for teachers and students. You will love it! Be sure to read the licensing rules though, and don't ignore the rules. You can find some wonderful clip-art for all your notebooking pages, lapbooks, etc. Have fun!
