NANCY ALERT: PLEASE READ

8:44 AM, Nov. 9, 2005

We interrupt this blog for a very important news alert!

When a young child is lost or missing the local police issue an Amber Alert.  This lets the surrounding community know that they need to be on the lookout for a missing child.  The alert is named after a young girl named Amber.  Well, we don't have a missing Amber but a "missing" wife named Nancy.  So I'm issuing a Nancy AlertNancy has been lost to the blogosphere since May of this year.   We are certain she is safe but her husband is out of his mind with worry.

He has exhausted all other options.  He has resorted to his last hope, the Funny Farm.  Yes, that's right; Tony has begun blogging at the Funny Farm in search of his beloved Nancy.   Too upset to be interviewed, Tony issued this statement,

My wife, tn3jcarter, has been blogging since May and I miss her. Someone please tell her I'm here.

So if you could please help Tony and let his wife Nancy know he's here.  And while you're at it stop by Tony's blog and let him know that he can find his wife's photo on the portal page of HomeschoolBlogger.com in the event he has forgotten what her lovely face looks like.  It may even provide a few links to her where abouts.   Thankfully, for moral support, Tony has already joined the Paternal Alliance.   With such a capable group of men, I am sure that Tony will be reunited with his bride very soon.   Please do your part and post a

HAVE YOU SEEN NANCY?

Blog Alert on your blog today with a link back to this alert.  The more people that post this simple alert the quicker we can reunite this distraught husband with his "missing" wife.

This concludes our special alert.  We will now resume normal blogging operations.

Please make sure you read the TOS /HSB News of the Day.  It contains many important updates and a way for you to be featured at the Company Couch.

Nancy sighting???

10:10 AM, Nov. 9, 2005, posted by FunnyFarm
Thank you all for your concern and prayers. This morning at app 3:21 a.m. I awoke to a strange blue light coming from our office and a steady, but rather irratating, tapping noise. When I got to the office everything went dark and quiet. I was too afraid to go in alone, so I went and woke up the boys. After putting on our camo we set a cage trap next to the computer with chocolate kisses, root beer, and magazines on how to become Amish. We are hoping for good luck tonight.
Thanks for your concern -- Tony

Well!

In case he hasn't checked his avatar, I'm right here next to him! The nerve of some people!! Coming after me with a cage, root beer, chocolate and a magazine about becoming Amish... Oh he's funny, reallllll funny. He knows that I would not become Amish because it would mean giving up the internet, although I've been reading about solar power and wind turbines so technically we wouldn't be using electricity. Oh, I probably shouldn't get my hopes up, even the Menonites around here live like they're Amish and have to have metal wheels on their tractors and buggies so they aren't tempted to go joy riding too much. Imagine those metal wheels on a gravel road and you'll understand why my dog just has to bark at them!

Anyway, now you all see what I'm dealing with here at the Carter Farm and why I like to hang out at HSB. Better say a prayer for that husband of mine, bless his heart. It's going to take more than chocolate, root beer and a magazine to get him out of the dog house!

She was such a nice conscience, too

I am sorry to say that I have not seen Nancy in a while. The person commenting on this blog puporting to be her is, I am sure, an imposter. If you want more information on this, watch that weird Invasion show. It will explain how this is done.

Nancy was my conscience and I miss her very much. To misquote the movie Nemo, "she was my conscience and we have not spoken for awhile." This is very distressing to me. I keep doing things wrong--at least Gena keeps telling me they are all wrong-- but how am I to know without Nancy around to guide me? Do I trust Gena? Would YOU trust Gena? I thought not.

I keep having these recurring images of Mel Gibson in my head. I need your help, Nancy. Come back soon. Oops. There is another Gibson moment. On second thought, Nancy, there is no need to rush.....

Nancy Carter?

Never heard of her...hee hee...I heard she joined the circus. She prefers roaming with the animals...with a portable laptop in a backpack that has wireless internet access of course...

Mia, I am right here. Never left your side.....but......

It's the OTHER Nancy that is missing. Yikes, there is more than one of us, yes---it is true. She is the Farm Nancy, I am the City Nancy Wishing to be a Farm Nancy. You know, you literary genius, like "Town Mouse and Country Mouse".....wasn't that by Tolkien?

Anyway, stop thinking about Mel Gibson and Get Back To Work. We will keep looking for Nancy----although, if I had a farm, I wouldn't be blogging, I'd be um, doing farm things. LOL!

(I see you Nancy----you can't hide from me!)

Nancy in CO, which might be short for (Mia's) CONSCIENCE

OOPS!

Oh my! I thought Nancy Baetz was missing. Have not heard from her in a while either. Nancy Carter is not on my conscience team, but I still stick with the alien theory. Since I have not heard from EITHER Nancy in a while, I guess I am free to still have those Mel Gibson moments-- when I admire his sense of humor and intellect.....

A Nancy spotting!

I saw her, I did!! Just last night, in the wee hours, in fact. If only I had known she was missing at the time, I would have grabbed her and called Tony for back-up. She'd better be found by this time next week, she and I are taking a little road trip!

I'm not sure but....

I used to know a woman named Nancy. She was my neighbor in Hoptown KY. Had a couple of boys and a snazzy hubbie. She seems a little different than your Nancy though. She couldn't cook a lick and was lost if there wasn't something frozen in the frig. I think frozen pizza was her entire nutritional menu. She's never grown a thing in her life except kids and had never even thought of a garden. They lived in the city on a very busy street and had two dogs they kept in their own "townhouse" in the back yard. She'd never written much that I can remember but she did wear glasses as I understand your Nancy does. I'm just not sure if this "transformed" Nancy of yours is the same one or not but I remember her being an extremely nice person and wonderful friend. I hope you find your Nancy. Oh, just in case you do....I heard the other day on Oprah that eating celery helps men omit a scent that is very attractive to women (NO LIE!). Anyway.....good luck. Your distant cousin JULESINSC
