In
the last "Leave It Better" entry, I addressed the big picture. Today's challenge will be small, simple, and fun!
Walk into any room of your home. Look around and find something you can improve in 15 minutes.
Don't agonize about priorities, just pick something out and do it. (Often it is better if it isn't the most glaring thing.) In this game, trite and trivial count as much as the monumental. Spend a quarter of an hour on whatever task appeals to you. If you have a notion to polish the candlesticks, then don't worry about the fact that the dusting really is more of a dire emergency. Follow your whim and polish the candlesticks. It can be repair, cleaning or decorating, but find something that can be done in 15 minutes.
In addition to improving some aspect of your home, it can be surprisingly invigorating. Especially if everything is going wrong, and you feel like it is the last thing you should do today, this challenge is for you. Give yourself 15 minutes to do something that wasn't on the list and isn't clamoring to be done.
What will you spend your 15 minutes on today?

Flylady calls it 'blessing' your family. Hers are shorter, but mine are more like yours. We've even taught small son this principal, and yesterday he even washed the dishes WITHOUT ME ASKING. Prayers DO get answered!

Hey I need some help.
I have another blog at www.homeschoolblogger.com/misterx and I would like it to be deleted. Is that possible?
Thanks, RedwallReader.

My next 15 minute improvement needs to be my deep freezer. I have found many terrific buys on freezable items this month and have stocked my freezer, but now it is getting too ful and disorganized. I will get that done, and although I usually dread it, it will probably take less than 15 minutes! Thanks for the inspiration!
