Here it is, Thanksgiving! Are you full yet? Actually, I am writing this the night before, and yes, I am full. How can that be? Did we eat early or something? No, I am not full of turkey, stuffing, corn, mashed potatoes......but I am full.
I am full of Thanksgving. Thankfulness. Gratitude.
I have SO much to thank our Creator for! For this life I live, whether the days or good or evil, I am still thankful for being given life.
For this beautiful world we live in, may we always appreciate what we see and hear and smell and taste and touch.......
For my husband, kids, home, pets, stuff. Really! I am thankful for my stuff. Even though it gets pretty messy and cluttery around here, I am thankful.
My family means so much to me. We aren't perfect, but we sure do love each other! What a treasure to have. Relationships are one of God's greatest gifts to us, with Him, and with other people He has put in to our lives.
Hmmmmm what else....HSB? Yes, I am thankful for Homeschool Blogger, and for the friends I have made here. I am thankful for the encouragement that I am given by reading about the lives of other Moms and Dads and kids. What a great opportunity!
Thankful for the Good Ole US of A. I am SO glad I was born and raised here and have been able to learn our Christian Heritage. May we all remember to cherish and preserve it for generations.
I am thankful for the food, clothing, creature comforts, old cars, cozy home and for my computer!
So thankful for the gift of language. Where would we be without it? And I am thankful for the gift of sight. I think I could do without smelling, maybe not tasting, and maybe, MAYBE I could do without hearing. I love sound, but not noise.
But I am so thankful for the amazing gift of sight. I think it must have been very important to God, because He gave us light first, so we could see.
I ask the Lord to bless you today, with a spirit of thankfulness and the ability to see all that you have been given, literally, figuratively, and virtually also!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Nancy
