This week our family is gearing up for a small traditional feast as many families will have this year. We have many things to be thankful for this year, one being this is our first Thanksgiving in our first home. My husband is in the Air Force so we have put-off our first home purchase because we move often. We celebrate this year but without Dad who is deployed which will be difficult but we are only a phone-call away.
We have a list of books that we look forward to sitting down to cuddle and read at this time each year. Our family normally has a read-aloud going at all times but we have a list of favorites we read this time of year. If you enjoy baking or making gifts for friends and neighbors, seek books on tape for your together time. Homeschool Radio Shows offers a free download in their “Living Books for the Ears” e-Newsletter each week. If you do not receive this, stop in to see what they have to offer: http://www.homeschoolradioshows.com/
