It's time once again to meet yet another fun and engaging blogger here at HSB! This week go over and say hello to Karen of Karen's Korner. Karen is a single parent who enjoys blogging, homeschooling, and serving the Lord. (Not necessarily in the order!)

It's not easy to homeschool as a single parent but Karen realizes how important homeschooling is. Her list of Why We Homeschool is an excellent read, with scripture to back up her reasoning.

How closely do you follow a schedule? Karen shares her schedule woes from corporate big wig to homeschooling only one! She's learned to make lists of what she would like to get done and lean on the Lord for what needs to be done. She also enocourages those mothers who follow a schedule to keep doing so if that is what the Lord wants for their family.

Now here is an interesting way to keep track of school hours, use Quicken! Karen explains how. It's a good idea for those that need to keep track of their hours for state homeschool regulations or for those who just want to keep track for college transcripts.
