Start 2006 with a writing contest for your students in grades 4-8!
Portico Books and Thumbprint Press, publishers of books for children, are pleased to announce the first-ever international Writing Contest for One-of-a-Kind Kids. This years contest is The Grannie Annie -- A Family Story Celebration. Students in grades 4-8 will interview family members and write a 250- to 500-word story from their familys history. At least ten stories will be selected for publication in Grannie Annie, Vol. I, a paperback book. For full contest details, see http://www.TheGrannieAnnie.org.
Mailed submissions must be postmarked between January 1 and January 31, 2006. E-mailed submissions must be sent during the month of January 2006. All contest entries are due in January.
