Hi Everybody!
The holidays are almost behind us and many of us are getting ready to get back to our normal routines which means there will be a lot more bloggin' going on, right? I know that I'll be posting more regularly once we are back homeschooling again!
We at HSB want EVERYBODY to come visit with us on the Front Porch and want to encourage your participation this year. So, to do that, I am going to be posting daily entries with links to blogs in our community based on the following themes. (Now, these themes are NOT set in stone ... if you have a better idea, email me!)
Monday's (Home)Makings - Here I'll share something to get the week rolling but along the lines of homemaking: recipes, how to schedule chores, how to get kids to do chores, weekly menu plans, etc. Some of these posts may point over to our new HomesteadBlogger site, so if you have a site there and have blogged about something that you want EVERYONE to know about, email me at the link above!
Tuesday's TOS Focus - There's always something new going on with The Old Schoolhouse Magazine ... did you know there are 10 newsletters that you can subscribe to? (see below to do that!), our Product Review Manager, Kate, has a wonderful blog - TOS Online Lab - where she shares her reviews of her favorite homeschooling materials. Maybe I'll post about a new promo or e-Book (have you seen the latest one called Secrets of Successful Homeschooling?)- anything that might be related to TOS will be posted on Tuesdays!
Wednesday Whimsey - I'll share some funny blog posts - you've got to check out TC's blog - she's hilarious! This will be a fun way to celebrate the middle of the week
Thursday's Thoughts - I'll post an entry on something relevant to the homeschool community - prayer requests, homeschool in the news, a post about a specific homeschooling method, etc. I'll definitely need your help with this weekly post, so send me your latest homeschool news from your community!
Friday is Featured Blogger Day - In addition, I may post something under the heading of Friday Family Fun. I'll share a weekend activity for families to take part in TOGETHER and I'll want YOU to report back to tell me how it went!
