Salem Ridge Press Contest!

1:08 AM, Mar. 23, 2009

This contest is now
CLOSED!

We at Salem Ridge Press are once again giving away free books through The Old Schoolhouse Magazine as a fun way to let families know about our company!

Salem Ridge Press is a publishing company, established in November, 2005, dedicated to bringing back quality children's books of the 1800's and early 1900's for a new generation of readers. As homeschoolers ourselves, we work hard to find and republish wholesome, exciting, well-written books that you can feel good about giving to your family.

We are striving to build our reputation as a trusted source of excellent books, both for use as history supplements and simply for great reading, and our hope is that once families have the opportunity to see and read one of our books, they will come back for more. In our current contest, twenty-five families will each receive the softcover book of their choice from the twenty-three titles we have republished so far. We are excited to be sponsoring this contest and thrilled to share our books with you. We hope you enjoy them as much as we have!

We also invite you to sign up on our website for our quarterly newsletter and another opportunity to win a free book.  We anticipate publishing seven to ten new titles this year, and as we publish each new title, we will choose one family who receives our newsletter to receive a free copy.  Your family could be one of the first to read a newly republished title, many of which have not been in print for nearly a century!

To enter this contest just leave a comment here with either your email address or a link to your blog/website where your email address can be found, plus leave us the name of the book you would like most to win. Click here to view the titles.

You must be at least 18 years of age and live in the U.S. to enter You can read full contest rules here.

This contest will close on April 5. The 25 winners will be notified by email only.

We are currently reading Glaucia the Greek Slave and it's such a great addition to our ancient history studies. It would be great to win "Out of the Mouth of the Lion", "Gytha's Message", "A Martyr's Victory or any of the "Mary Jane" books. We would be honored if picked to receive any of your fine books.
Thank you for the opportunity to enter

as our free book if we win.
We do not have too many books about Indians and this would be a great addition to our Historical Fiction. I will be putting many of these on my wish list for the future too.

I enjoy reading older books I find at our book recycling place to my children at bedtime. I think my son would love to hear the tails of Young Robin Hood so please enter us to win that book. Thank you.

I appreciate your efforts to make good books available. Keep up the good work. There are many great titles. I believe I would choose Glaucia the Greek Slave at this point.

If I am chosen I would like the book "Soldier Fritz and the Enemies He Fought". It is so hard to find good books for boys that aren't full of fluff or just goofy. Thank you for providing good quality wholesome reading material for young people.
