So this week's theme on the Porch is writing, and as you have probably figured out, bloggers write. Unless of course they are photo blog purists, or video bloggers, but the main purpose of writing is communication and that what any blog is about.
This week's Featured Blogger is LarabaK, and like most of us here at HSB she writes what she knows about--her family, homeschooling, thoughts, and fears.
Ok, it's the beginning of the school year and I've been sharing lots of posts on this topic, but Laraba's post was quite enjoyable because she reveals a secret--she's not SuperMom!
Back to the topic of writing, Laraba wrote an email to her friends a couple of years ago and she posted it on her blog. (I wish I had some of the emails I had written to some of my friends so long ago!) This story is a real experience, involving a skunk, and I found it quite hilarious! It does have a sad end, just so you know.
How Do You Have “Fun” With Your Kids? Laraba tells us how she has fun with her children but she's also looking for some good ideas. She also explains how important it is that our children know we love them and not our things and organization more.
Stop by LarabaK's blog, write her a comment, and share your fun ideas, skunk stories, and compare your Normal Mom tights and capes!
Hey, I was wondering if I was allowed to nominate someone for Blogger of the Week? If so, I think the girls at iHeart Ministry (http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/iheartministry/) would be wonderful candidates. :) If not that's alright; I just think they do a really great job on their blog. :)
