Something funny to break up the week!

10:01 PM, Jan. 24, 2006

I read this post in December and purposely saved it for a Wednesday Whimsey post ... it is taken from Jewish Mutha's Home Life. Below is the first part of her post called "Brain Cramps" and you must go over and read the entire post as it is really funny!

(On September 17, 1994, Alabama's Heather Whitestone was selected as Miss America 1995.)
Question: If you could live forever, would you and Why?

Answer: "I would not live forever, because we should not live forever, because if we were supposed to live forever, then we would live forever, but we cannot live forever, which is why I would not live forever," - Miss Alabama in the 1994 Miss USA contest.

````````````````````````````````````````````
"Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean I'd love to be skinny like that, but not with all those flies and death and stuff." -   Mariah Carey
````````````````````````````````````````````

"Smoking kills. If you're killed, you've lost a very important part of your life," - Brooke Shields, during an interview to become Spokesperson for federal anti-smoking campaign.

````````````````````````````````````````````
"I've never had major knee surgery on any other part of my body,"  - Winston Bennett, University of Kentucky basketball forward.
 ..... more of these funny statements are here.
Today, I want you to share something funny like this that you have heard someone say (you do not have to tell us who said it to protect their identity - LOL!).
The first five to comment will receive the "Featured on the Front Porch" button. To make it quicker for us to award you your button, we'd like to ask you to include your email in your comment in this format (so that it will not easily be grabbed up by those email-seeking programs) - yourname-at-yourserver.com ... or you can email me letting me know you commented (my email is below: just replace the -at- with the @ symbol!)
See you tomorrow for some Thursday Thoughts!
Well, my 14 year old daughter asked me last week what language they speak in England. (hanging my head in shame)
I was driving with my best friend's children and Audra was 5 yo. We were out in the nearby Amish community and it started to smell like well.. cows. So Audra pinches her nose and says "Eew it smells like Horseradish!" "Horseradish??" "Yes Ma'am Horseradish, like all those stinky horse radishes the horses leave out in the fields".
THese were funny - thanks!
Global warming
My son said, "I think I've solved the problem of global warming. If we could just stick something in the ocean that would make it, ya know, cold like, then it would be cold again."
I miss everything!
