Want to know something simple that can help increase your blog traffic?
Put your homeschool blogger address in the signature of your emails!
It's quick and simple. It helps others to *see* your blog address and remember to go see what is going on there.
I also make sure that I include mine on any postings that I make to Yahoo groups or discussion boards.
Not sure *how* to add a signature? Let me see if I can walk you through the steps...
I'm on Windows 98 with Outlook Express (I know it's old school)
Open Outlook Express
Go to Tools
Scroll down to Options
Click on Signatures
Click on new and then type what you want in the box ~

Visit my blog at www.HomeschoolBlogger.com/tn3jcarter!
You can choose to make that your default signature by clicking that button.
You can also choose to add signature to all outgoing messages by checking that box.
Hit Apply & Close and you're done!
Now any time you send out an email, that person will have your blog addy right in front of them if they want to come visit.
That wasn't too hard, was it?

Thank you!
This is some wonderful advice!! Thank you for sharing it. I've also found that including your blog URL's with your comments on discussion forums increases your search engine ratings as well! :)
Appreciate the tips,

Nancy, You are the second person to suggest this to me in the last week. I guess I know what I'll be doing to my email starting, like now! Thanks for sharing a really great idea!
Thanks for the tip!

My 2nd son is away at school and keeps "losing" my blog address so this will help him!! (Maybe someday soon he'll think to bookmark it!). Thanks!

This really does help!
I read this on some other blog, maybe it was yours??? Regardless, once I started doing this, my blog traffic really increased by bunches and bunches.
I just have to remember to turn off my sig line when posting on one of the swap boards, because if you have anything that will lead back to your website in a post there, you get banned, which is a very bad thing when you are trying to sell books---very, very bad. I have almost forgotten to delete the blogsite and website several times, and caught it just in the nick of time before hitting submit!
Glad you passed this along to everyone, cause it will help them find lots of new readers and friends!
